Well, the reasoning for resistance or support holding on the ftp should be very clear from what is happening on the htp... if you don't know what is happening, then don't trade. If the HTP is involved in a push or refresh, we may not be near the HTP su or R, but the reason why FTP su or r is giving ...

Yes, the nearbys will shift around but the question is WHY are they DOING THIS? AND WHAT IS IT ON THE HTP THAT IS CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN? Strength/weakness is a result of HTP activity. When LTP resistance runs into HTP resistance then things will start to happen, among them the shift in ltp nearbys....

===yes, this should be monitored as it does tell you things, and a nearby that moves closer to the dot is significant... but that along is not enough to determine strength.

yes, it might help. Certainly at the beginning of a new bar keep in mind that you are at the beginning of a bar and not near the end, and thus a lot can happen therein... and at the end of the bar, know that you are there and thus relatively little can happen in the short remaining time...
