followup day vs 24 hour

Post by Trader Question »

As you obviously know, charting using "continuous" data (in the sp, plotting sp vs dsp), closed lines and jaws are essentially eliminated: no gap. Noticed this with the recent globex action in the snp where huge gaps have been created for RTH. Interesting situation in which there are additional lines available by plotting the day session only. Does the mkt respond to globex lines, day lines, or a combination....?

No perfect answer to this question... but consider that most gaps are eliminated anyway when you jump to a Higher Time Period... We tend not to use continuous data when working with lower time periods...

I prefer to have fullest data available (24 hours) in currencies and so forth.. in short, if there is a market I want to see the geometry of the whole market. But people work with this methodology successfully in many different configurations. Some like over-night data, some do not. Can work either way.
