Indicator Masking Price Bar

Post by Trader Question »

Thanks again for the encouraging PM. It's good to hear that you think I'm coming along with my studies because It's hard to know for sure just by evaluating myself.

I have a question about the indicators. When I lay the monthly nearby resistance onto this weekly chart, why is the indicator masking the price bars? Do you know of any way to fix this?

Also, how can I make the HTP nearby resistance and support show up as a continuous zone like Charlie's charts on the movies (see below chart) instead of individual bars like the above chart?

This is accomplished by playing with the style settings for the HTP nearby indicator, and also playing with the chart bar spacing. Set the indicator bar width to fattest, and experiment with line and with bar high/ bar low settings, etc. When the nearby starts to look like you want it, narrow the bar spacing a bit until the lines merge together. Sometimes we use the rectangle tool and hand-draw them in. Generally this will do it.
