Lesson 14

Post by Trader Question »

Lesson 14, Screen 106
You mention 5 long pings.... I can see pings at a, b, d, e and f ... Is this correct?

If there's a ping at c, I do not see it, since market never got to top of nearby support (unless of-course I would have to go long at the open or at the PLDot)?

I think you are correct, at least in the way I would be trading, as I am quite cautious on pings and take a conservative approach to them. Charlie, master trader that he is, probably would have been monitoring the intra-day market closely and taking the ping long at the pldot on bar "c". He would likely have gone long shortly after the open as he determined direction on the intraday and asses the dot push. But these are hypothetical trades of course, and so make sure you understand the principle and then you can apply to your own trading style.
