Individual styles/mindsets aside, in your opinion, what time frame best suits DG. I would think that it's inherent (genetic?) nature must suggest something in this regard. Charlie was no day trader. Can one make the argument that the system is most appropriately applied/practiced within the same context as its origin, independent of any argument re its robustness (ie applicable to any time frame)? Certainly from a pragmatic standpoint, the idea of dealing with multiple inputs changing every 5 minutes is not my formula for a long life (or quality of life), trading or otherwise. I envision an enviornment in which one follows 20 or so commodities and has a focus time frame of daily or weekly (as in the lessons). In other words, position trading. Sitting back and letting that coffee trade run, scaling in and out perhaps. Yes, it's watching the grass grow, but that ain't all that's growing (if you believe, as many do, that position players are the big winners).

Inherent Time Frame for DG
Re: Inherent Time Frame for DG
The approach works with many timeframes.
Your suggestion is one good possibility, and if it suits you, go for it.
