Trigger?

Would it be to simplistic to say that the change from support to resistance can be "triggered" when the HTP turns negative ( or vice versa)?
i.e - the HTP sets up a dotted line - obviously its progress is beginning to stall - so that would be the "trigger' that begins a switch in support to
resistance - and then you monitor it to see if it exhibits other indications of weakness - like a move inside the envelope, etc
