Input Variables

Post by Trader Question »

I think I have finally figured it out !!!!! - flow etc

Question

For yearly bars - you plot with Monthly

The Input variables - see examples below

# 1 Env = 0 Bars = 0

# 2 Env = 12 (ie. 12 monthly bars in a year) Bars = 0

Which is right for plotting?

Does this also apply for plotting Nearbys etc on yearly bars - ie. they should extend into the future?

Using the DG indicators? The first is correct.
The yearly overlays onto monthly do not plot into the future.

But I should point out that for these long-term charts the "multi" indicators are far superior and I recommend using them, as they are much more flexible and helpful. They are free as long as your access to the Institute is up to date, and I would need your TS customer ID number to make a set for you.

The Institute these days is especially useful as Charlie is making daily postings in an interactive format that permits questions and responses, etc. Let me know if you have an interest.
